Vanta-Tier  V-10 Naturally Aspirated Analog Hypercars

'The Vanta-Tier philosophy is Black Horse Cartel's approach to building the Vesuvius, a hypercar designed by Nick Scianna, prioritizing mechanical purity, analog driving engagement, craftsmanship and timeless engineering over digital excess and short-lived trends.'

Mechanical Harmony

We build machines the same way I build music — through instinct, discipline, and feel.
Engines are instruments. They have a voice, an attitude, a truth.
Most people see numbers on a screen.
I hear harmonics.
I can feel when a cylinder is late, when fuel is off, when timing is lying.

I’ve stopped dyno pulls because something in the song of the engine shifted.
My tuner checks the map and nine times out of ten, I’m right.

A machine should speak.
And we build cars that listen back.

Let's Get Back To Driving

You must drive this car. It is not going to drive you.

The relationship:

The car has to speak to me. Driving it should feel almost intimate—just you, the machine and the road.

That connection is fundamental to Vesuvius.

You must drive this car. It is not going to drive you.

Vesuvius is for the person who still understands and appreciates a true analog automobile. Like a great musical instrument, it should respond to your hands, your feet and your timing. The more you understand it, the more it becomes an extension of you.

The rejection of technology for technology’s sake:

Could we build a 2,000-horsepower car? Of course we could. So what?

Add a few turbochargers, integrate electric motors, correctly engineer the carbon-tub load paths, install the latest active suspension and build another technological showcase. Give it a dual-clutch transmission, an automated driving mode or a so-called manual transaxle controlled by electronic solenoids, actuators and a TCU that performs the throttle blips for you. Blah, blah, blah. A Driver-Executed Manual Transmission is one in which every action required to change gear is performed by the driver. Clutch actuation, throttle modulation, rev matching and gear selection remain entirely under human control, without electronic execution or automated intervention.

We have been doing this long enough to know that more technology does not automatically create a better driving street car experience.

Let’s get back to driving a car:

A car that demands your attention. A car that rewards skill. A car that sends your heart rate toward 160 beats per minute as you commit through an apex or attack a great back road.

That is Black Horse Cartel.

Selective Craftsmanship

We build for those who understand that true craftsmanship isn’t scalable.
There is no assembly line for soul — only hands, ears, and time.
Each piece is chosen, shaped, and perfected with intention, not efficiency.

If you desire a Black Horse Cartel car, it’s because you value the craft as much as we do.

Not everyone will drive one.
Not everyone should.

Engineered Elegance

Beauty isn’t decoration — it’s consequence.
A car is beautiful when the engineering is honest, when the function shapes the form.
We engineer elegance from the inside out.

When art and purpose line up, the result doesn’t just look right —
it feels inevitable.

Uncompromised Integrity

There are no shortcuts here. Not in our carbon fiber tubs.
Not in our carbon fiber body panels. Not in our engines or drive-trains.

Not in our choices of interior materials. Not in our engineering.

Our partners are Tier 1. Scale is for corporations. Integrity is for craftsmen.
